It is a machine that moves around the Earth. It is a self-run communications system. It can receive signals from Earth and work accordingly. Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is also an artificial satellite. It is the first satellite of Bangladesh, and the country is the 57th nation in the world to own a satellite.   Bangladesh launched it on May 12th, 2018. Thales Alenia manufactured this satellite. It is the largest satellite manufacturer in Europe. Its launch station was the Kennedy Space Center in the USA. The control stations are Bethbunia and Gazipur in our country. Bangladesh spent  248 million US dollars to make it. This satellite works for the internet, TV, telephones, weather, and climate.  People in remote areas of the country can get proper education through this satellite.  Bangabandhu Satellite-1 has decreased satellite connectivity charges. The country can now save a good amount of money. All the TV channels in the country are benefiting from this satellite. This satellite has significantly changed the weather department, defence sector, and communication system. It is an enormous achievement in the field of science and technology in Bangladesh.

Thales Alenia built this satellite. It is Europe's leading satellite maker. The Kennedy Space Center in the United States served as its launch pad. In our country, the control stations are located in Bethbunia and Gazipur. Bangladesh invested $248 million USD to build it. This satellite provides internet access, television, telephone service, weather, and climatic information. This satellite can provide quality education to people in remote locations of the country. The satellite connectivity charges for Bangabandhu Satellite-1 have been reduced. The country is now able to save a significant amount of money. This satellite benefits all of the country's television stations. This satellite has had a considerable impact on the weather service, the defence sector, and the communication system. It is a massive accomplishment in the realm of science and technology in Bangladesh.
